ACRUX Intergrated Solutions in Rockford IL has a JAVA Based Data
collection system that covers COM transactions.

I have experience in bar code systems with MAPCIS.  Do you have specific
questions.?

PS COM, while printing bar codes does not have functionality to read the
codes.  There is a third party program which provides the COM
capability.
