I've work with or consulted on MAPICS since 1977.

    Remember when

        There was no GL interface as a function within modules and IBM had a 
add-on FDP
        (field developed program - if I remember correctly) for OEI-GL 
interface.

        The forecast module was an FDP

        MAPICS had 12 modules
            4 financials (AP,AR,GL, PR)
            CAS
            2 sales (OEI & SA)
            5 mfg (PDM, IM, PCC,MRP, CRP)

        There was a one time ILF and no ALF

        A MAPICS software updated occured once a year

        There were no on-line history files, history was a printed document


How about a MAPICS-L sessions, gathering, social event at the next MAPICS user 
conference?
