We have a Release 7 Pilot project currently in progress. We have upgraded a copy of an existing environment to Release 7 (last week) and have a list of items to test that include modifications and user exits. Our modifications for the Browser applications are done with Integrator (which includes client user exits). The "green screen" applications do not have a JAVA source back ground so we expect our modifications and user exits will work as in past upgrades. That's what we expect our pilot to tell anyway. Our Pilot does plan on using System-Link instead of the off-line load process to see how it works. We will also be testing Net-Link along with WebSphere. We intended to write something small in WebSphere Development Tools to see how well it will play with the Mapics Client and Web Browser versions. -----Original Message----- From: Eric Wolf [mailto:eric_a_wolf@hotmail.com] Sent: Friday, July 12, 2002 3:47 PM To: mapics-l@midrange.com Subject: XA Release 7 [ Converted text/html to text/plain ] To the list, Has anyone or does plan on upgrading to Release 7 (Java version)? Do you have modifications or user exits? At the conference, they stated that Java source is not available-how did you do your modifications? TIA... Eric A.
