We would like to track our outside processing vendors in same fashion as
our material vendors.
We currently manually track their quality information - an additional
burden on the QC folks.

Bonnie -

Since outside processing is an operation on our MO, we have the inspection
step following the outside operation, but I see your point - you want to
inspect on PO receipt too. Don't know - we don't really do that, but you're
right - this needs to be part of the MAPICS enhancement we all voted for.

Does anyone know if the MAPICS enhancement programming team has end-users
included on their design process? I'd volunteer, and I think that if they
don't have at least a dozen end-users involved, from a variety of
industries
and manufacturing types, no one is going to be really satisfied with the
enhancement...
