So far that I know, MAPICS does not handle this as other systems may do. This is like the item class field: documentation purposes. You need to do your calculations and update this yourself based on your company's criteria. The help text for this field says: "Type the code that identifies the class, ranked by value, for this item. (For example, "A, B, C.") Your company assigns this code." In regards to days of supply, safety stock, and cycle count fields, they have no relationship with the value class field at all.
