gl interface for non-inv items

I have a customer trying to interface the RP to G/L, we can get an entry to 
assign accounts for reg.inv items , but not items coded as '2' misc, and no 
itembl.  The manual does not exempt non-inv items, but im wondering if the 
feature may be limited to inv items ??

any thoughts, advise would be helpful..... bob tenny, you out there ???
