Entity maintenance will be part of Release 7.8. After the activities of this past summer (SSA acquisition) by the time the smoke had cleared (new organizations, budgets, priorities, etc.) the date for R7.8 had slipped into next year. We also had to put part of the 7.8 team on the SupplyWEB integration project. All that is behind us now. In IFM we have had to do some infrastructure work to make it snap into the Power Architecture. For example, the amounts didn't have decimals. Date-effective records didn't have the dates we needed. Both of these required routines to condition the data before it coud be used, which really throws sand in the gears, so to speak. We also added user fields and did some other housekeeping things along the way. The following are the IFM enhancements in R7.8. I'm trying to get more in, but here's what I can commit to as of now: Maintain customer in CSM Maintain vendor in PM Maintain entity (Allocation entity, Member, Contacts, Alias, Tax ID's, Bank...) Maintain Personal Account (Security) Separate purchasing & payables setup (Security) Separate private information (bank accounts, tax ID's...) Intuitive object names (Entity = Trading Partner, Financial Division = Company, Nature = Account...) Overview card to navigate easily between entities, customers, vendors, accounts Navigate from PA, entity & group to AR & AP data, credit, drill-down to supporting details Entities clearly defined according to their usage (Customers, vendors, banks, taxing authorities...) No need to enter separate entity and entity revision ("data") (All data entered together, revision records are created automatically) Same for personal accounts See instant impact to all customers affected by credit limit change for customer, entity, entity group Available credit updated in real-time if same currency for credit, order, invoice and payment Run host jobs from IFM client (Update customer credit check totals, Update account balance totals for Entity/Groups, Customers, Vendors, Update aged balance totals) Run host reports from IFM client (Print aged balance statements, Print aged balance reports) Graph cards for aged balances, historical trends (invoices, payments, write-offs) Cards redesigned Phil Joseph | Senior Product Manager | Infor | office: (678) 319-8040 | cell: (404) 519-1442 | email: phil.joseph@xxxxxxxxx
