Thanks I saw that about CHGOWN too. My issue with both CHGOBJOWN and GRTOBJAUT
is the exclusive locks required. I guess I have to put time in on Sundays to
do this. And once I do it, how do I get a custom report of users with *USE
authority for the files in AMFLIBE. That is, how do I check my work? If I
print a PRTPVTAUT, it shows every file in AMFLIBE as having *PUBLIC *CHANGE. I
don't want to see *PUBLIC.

Bryan,
If you use the CHGOWN command you can use the wildcard character to select
multiple files in one command.

Just from prompting the command chgaut it looks like a similar technique may
work for your second requirement.

1. I'd like to change the ownership of 1,300 files in AMFLIBE from the
current owners to user AMAPICS.
2. I need to perform a GRTOBJAUT AUT *USE for user ODBCUSER for 6,000 files in
AMFLIBE.
If anyone has done this type of thing, I'd appreciate any pointers. It's a
whole lot more problematic than I envisioned.
