I just went to a client box to see how this worked. The broadcast worked
from Item Revision to Single Item Level Bill of Material when I tested.

I then went to Preferences/broadcast. They were broadcasting the
attributes Item, Item Revision, Routing and Site. (just those 4
   attributes).

Hope this helps. But it appears to work nicely. If you change your
broadcast attributes to just this, see if it works. (Normally I just
broadcast all the available attributes..not sure if this is a performance
hit or not. I don't think it is..but then again I always wondered why all
attributes available were not simply setup to default to broadcast..Their
must be some reason they are manually selected..)

I would guess that the single level bom would need you to broadcast a
   bom header.

I'm not sure if this applies to release 6, but in release 7 you can
control which fields the business object broadcasts. If Item Revision
is not broadcasting all of the fields that relate it to Single Level
Bill of Material, your workbench will not work.

I have noticed something in trying to create a workbench that I think
   rather odd:
It seems when using Item Revision view to drive a workbench, I cannot
get the 'Single Level Bill of Material' view to receive a broadcast. I
have created many successful workbenches but this combination just does
   not seem to work.
Is this "just the way it is" or is there some subtle setting of which I
am unaware that will allow this to function?
   TIA!!
