Before monthend, on Friday, we e-mail everyone with a document of responsibilities and reminders.
 
Close down, paperless & UPS  interfaces on Sunday. The SHOP & Shipping departments can continue as normal and no transaction will be updated until we are completed with Monthend.
 
A message go out to everyone when they can resume inventory transactions & receiving for the current day.
 Monday morning is used to clean up Fridays business. 
Lastly we turn on the above interfaces.
 
This has worked 95% of the time.  Someone will mess up sometime.
