Jeff,
I don't know what LOGDX is in the ACH header. What do you need to change?

The company information for ACH is stored in the Deduction Distribution
file (DISTRB). Use PR File Maintenance Option 7 and a distribution code
of 'C' (no distribution number) and 'C' for change. This lets you
maintain the company Fed ID number, the bank name, the bank transit origin
and destination, etc. Changes to this file can trigger prenote
requirements. Each employees ACH information is stored in the EMPDED file
for the specific ACH deductions defined. This, along with the actual
payroll data populates the PAYEDI file which is the one to be downloaded
and transmitted.

Our company is considering setting up consignment inventory for packaging
materials. Is anybody using MAPICS with consignment inventory? (Sorry,
but it will probably always be MAPICS to me.) We'd be interested in how
you have set it up so that the data flows well through the system and so
that costs and inventory values are correct - considering that these items
would have zero cost as long as they are on consignment, but would have a
non-zero cost as soon as they are put into use. We're using R6 in 3
environments and R7 in 1 environment.
Thanks,
Bob Heavilin

Bob, we did that in R3 thru R6, and set up the consignment items to be
stored in a separate whse, then TW'd them into the production whse when
the parts were moved to be consumed. The consignment whse parts had
onhands but no cost, the production whse had costs.
We also did some neat stuff for some of the consignment items by making
them uncontrolled floor stock in the production whse. That let them be
'dollar charged' to the orders while not carrying them on hand. It caused
some grief for the buyers, but making then a different planner helped. You
could just ignore those.

We also use a separate warehouse to hold the consigned inventory without
cost. A purchase order over the no cost warehouse for the items gives
you the ability to RP. We then transferred the item to our production
warehouse with costs as needed. Inventory was transferred and paid for in
lot quantities. If you'd like to discuss it further, drop me a note.
We also use a no cost warehouse to track some vendor inventory in the
vendors warehouse.
Thanks,
Bob.

Hi Bob,
We are at XAR6.
We have set up a separate warehouse for these type of items, with no cost
attached to them. We then moved them to our Production warehouse when we
shipped them. This warehouse had costs attached to them.
