I have a program

ENTRY *  ;
DCL DD FST CHAR(1) ;
DCL DD SCD CHR(2) ;
CPYBLA  FST,'H';
CVTCH SCD(1:2) , FST(1:1) ;
RTX *;

I get
Scaler data cannot be changed to the type required by instruction  MCH1201

Any Suggestions?
