I haven't been following this discussion closely, but .....


Have you checked the list of IBM-supplied SQL APIs?  APIs such as QSQPRCED
(Process extended dynamic SQL), QxdaProcessImmediateEDRS (Process Immediate
SQL Statement) and the like?

It is, of course, possible to have a *USER domain program dynamically
alter its own attribute to *SYSTEM just before calling the SQL prompter
and then going back to *USER afterwards, but this may also not be
acceptable to you. I just want to point out that it is possible.
