Sirius Computer Solutions, Inc., a 25-year old, nationwide IBM Premier
Business Partner and the nation's largest IBM eServer solutions provider,
has several immediate full-time opportunities for Sr.-level eServer
consultants with cross-platform skills on IBM iSeries/i5, AIX and Linux
systems.
These are billable, services delivery positions that require strong
customer-facing skills and the ability to travel extensively (up to 75% of
the time) to customers across the US. Some preferred locations for these
positions include Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX, and the greater New York City
metro area; however these positions could be based out of most major
cities in the US. Key skills we are seeking include:
* iSeries hardware/software skills, including Logical Partitioning
* AIX/Unix
* Linux
* Microsoft/Windows
* SAN Infrastructure
* Storage
* Project Management
Desired secondary skills include:
* Business Consulting
* Documentation
* Security, iSeries and Cross Platform skills
* High Availability/Backup and Recovery (BRMS)
* Experience with non-iSeries IBM product lines, such as xSeries, pSeries,
zSeries
* VMWare and Server Consolidation
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Education:
* Bachelor?s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent
experience
* Five years technical work experience preferably in a consulting
environment
Travel:
* Weekend work is required for this position - quantity will vary by
location and project
* Frequent travel (approx. 75%, including air and automobile) required to
various client locations
* Current driver?s license required and ability to travel by air required.
