US-MI-AS400 COBOL Systems Analyst

Immediate opening for an AS400 COBOL developer in Holland, MI.  This permanent 
position offers the ability to join a growing software development company.

Responsibilities
·       Architect custom payment processing and related applications to meet 
unique customer requirements.
·       Re-architecture of existing custom payment processing and related 
applications for ease in maintenance and future enhancements driven by customer 
changes in business rules/logic.
·       Conduct business requirements workshop with customers and/or partners.
·       Document business/functional requirements.
·       Analyze and document current state, future state, and gap analysis.
·       Based on roles assigned by project manager, give direction, mentor and 
supervise other technical resources assigned to the project.
·       Translate functional requirements and gap analysis into technical 
solution (design specifications)
·       Re-work of existing applications for configuration driven architecture
·       Develop or modify, unit test, and document programs per design 
specifications
·       Execute full system integration tests and validate data output to user 
specifications.
·       Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of application using 
flow charts and technical documentation templates.
·       Periodic travel to customer sites as required for customer projects, 
training and/or pre-sales support.
·       Lead methodology and process improvements.
·       Support marketing and sales efforts through external presentations, 
white-papers, and customer visits.

Education
·       Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or related field. 

Experience
·       7+ years experience in application development in COBOL with minimum of 
5 years in an AS400 development environment
·       Past development  experience with retail/POS/Sales Audit systems 
preferred
·       Past experience on software products sold to Fortune 1000 organizations 
a plus!
