Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Works closely with the Database Architect supporting, designing, and
managing databases. Reviews revision of existing databases by examining
current techniques and determining appropriate changes to improve and
enhance efficiency.
Creates High Level Designs (HLD) from requirements, works with project
teams to develop prototyping efforts, reviews database solutions,
participates in creating detail designs, and assists in the creation of
implementation plans.
Creates, documents, and enforces database development standards, policies,
procedures, design standards, interdependencies, and processes for
database coding, including naming standards, and data access standards.
Works with the Database Architect and Technical Services in creating and
enforcing architectural standards for security, disaster planning,
business recovery, system availability, data replication, data storage,
and configuration management.
Updates and creates logical and physical data models, maintains enterprise
data dictionary, data mapping, data sources, business rules, data rules,
tools, and documentation.
