Jeff,

Thanks - I wasn't aware of the RUNRMTCMD.  My answer (STRUNXCMD - part
of  extra cost software 'Connection Program/400') talks to the same
"rexecd" daemon.  The only 'advantage' STRUNXCMD appears to have, is if
run interactively it will send the output back to your screen (it
actually starts a terminal session).  RUNRMTCMD always spools a report
of any output.
(Plus the STRUNXCMD has the password as a non-display field, whereas
RUNRMTCMD doesn't).
