AS/400 TP issued DEALLOCATE

We're running CA/400 for Windows 3.x and getting the following error message 
on a PC that has been running fine for months.  As far as we can tell no 
configuration changes have been made:

     APPC Communications Error:
     AS/400 TP issued DEALLOCATE
     Router Return Code - hex 0001

IBM "can't help" because we're running a Microdyne/DCA NIC.  Any ideas?
