Since this is a DOW vs DOU vs CHAIN, etc. I'm going to criticize your
first example:

Since *IN90 can be *ON before you get into the loop, you must either
manually set *IN90 off before you execute the loop or, more elegantly IMHO:
*IN90 DOUEQ*ON
KEY1 DELETRCD1 90
ENDDO
As an aside, if you are trying to delete many records, I wonder if the
SETLL, READE, DELET method is more efficient...
