Try Tredent Data Systems (818) 222-3770,  Russ has great prices on the
V.3400 and other modems, multiplexers etc.  I love the Processor
Magazine (most of the vendors advertising in this free mag have great
prices on AS/400, PCs, peripherals etc.).  A few calls and you can shave
nearly 25-50% of the best quotes locally.  No I am not a salesman and do
not know any of these guys.
