We might want to have a discussion about this. If you're typing 'relative
to anything else out there before it was created' then I couldn't say a
word.. There was nothing else out there. If you're thinking 'relative to
what the ideal would be' then maybe it's another story altogether.

I think my feelings come from the fact that I've been at too many Synon
accounts who have the craziest and most complex environments and they just
refuse to mesh easily with any package. I want whatever I'm using to be
endlessly flexible, but intuitive and simple to work with. Do I sound like
a typical end user? Or just someone in marketing... Anyway, sometimes it
just gets frustrating trying to make any tool do something it's not meant
to do.

As to defining things at the user level in CM, I've discovered that I much
prefer defining group ID's to the tool. PGMR, Change Control Administrator,
and sometimes one or two others, to protect certain environments. Since V3
R1 and supplemental group profiles, I can define someone to several groups
to give them authority through CM. Definitely makes maintenance easier.

One of the big bangs for the buck you can get with Implementer is taking
already existing, environments or libraries, and run a job which will load
all the objects into Developer's Workbench. To me, this is a huge help in
setting up pre-existing environments. It's not like you have to start
fresh.

If anyone's interested in change management ideologies using this tool, or
just on the 400, I can theorize for hours on this topic... and actually the
truth of the matter is that I have already.
