No questions at this time, just thought I'd share this in case anyone is
looking at buying a new tape drive:

IBM 9427 attached to an E70 with approximately 15 GB of information, all
on IBM 9336 disk drives.  Total time for back up (includes *SYS,
*NONSYS, DLO, and SAV) was 5 hours 34 minutes running in a restricted
state.

IBM 3590 attached to same system, 3 hours.

IBM 3590 attached to 510 2144 after CISC to RISC upgrade, 1 hour and 22
minutes.  9336s were replaced with 6607s during the upgrade.
