I think that I failed to mention that this is > an SQLRPG. Ahh - SQL - all bets are off ! I constantly see PTF's for query optimization. It seems they make some major changes with each release, then spend the next several months issuing multiple PTF's to 'fine tune' the performance. You may want to order the SF97320 / SF97370 'shopping list' PTF cover letters and scan the downloaded file member for QUERY, SQL, OPTIMIZE etc. to see if you can find PTF's that may relate. I've found that these type of PTF's don't necessarily appear on the next cum package - there could be a long delay from release until that happens.
