Matching record logic is very effective compared to fussing with a program
to do all that logic by hand.

If all you are doing is reading the files sequentially with a match, the
most important thing that I always tried to remember is that all of the
files you are matching are read in key sequence as if they were sorted
together by match fields into 1 long file.
