We automated something almost identical for a customer using RUNRMTCMD. Only difference was the remote system was an RS/6000 and not a PC. It worked great. The job sent a file to the RS/6000 with SNDTCPF, ran a job on the RS/6000 with RUNRMTCMD, received an output file back with RCVTCPF, and then ran a job using the file on the AS/400. SNDTCPF & RCVTCPF are from the Aug/95 News/400 issue - code available for download on their web site, although the downloaded code needs the following 2 fixes: In the SNDTCPFC CL program there's a bug at line 200. Should be: IF ( &maptbl *EQ '*NONE' *OR &maptbl *EQ '*DFT' ) DO Likewise, line 231 in RCVTCPFC should be: IF ( &maptbl *EQ '*NONE' *OR &maptbl *EQ '*DFT' ) DO -- ... Neil Palmer AS/400~~~~~ ...
