• Subject: QRY : I want to transform string to number ?
  • From: Remi.Chapdelaine@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (CHAPDELAINE Rémi)

In some files I have fields in string format, but there are numbers inside
(I cannot change these file because they are part of a product)
I would like to extract informations from these fields, but get it into
decimal format (to send them to Excel in the proper format, for example)

I found nothing in QRY function

The only way I've found (but it's not very easy) is to make a DDS of what I
want, make the QRY, then make a CPYF to my proper described file, I could
like if you could have a more easy way.

Thanks in advance
