Fortunately (?), at my site, we use only vendor-supplied software (Infinium Software/Software 2000 for financials, LSI for casino accounting, Bally's SDS slot accounting system) so all my efforts run along the lines of "Hey, are you guys gonna communicate with each other properly?" Not to say there ISN'T work to be done. PC evals (BIOS issues, basic DOS usage + Windows) and PC-based software must be evaluated. Any worksheets utilizing dates, PC and AS/400 customized programs and in-house utilities/programs, stand-alone time clock system, NCR-based cash register terminals, etc. My "only" problem on the AS/400 side is making sure I'm current on the OS (V3R2, V3R7) and that the vendors maintain communication so data interchange is transparent after 2000/1/1. We will of course be upgrading software during that time, but it's in the vendors' hands that controls our Y2K problems.
