I have re-used a number of 2 Gb drives from an AS/400 in a SCSI array in
an NT server. They work fine and seem to be more reliable than
off-the-shelf SCSI drives.

One IBMer says he's taken the SCSI drives from trashed AS/400
drives,
reformatte d them, and run them on his PC at home. However, he
says he
can't go the other way because the formatting is different, and
the 400
won't re-format a PC format drive from scratch.... but,
physically,
they're the same.
