The requirement for 16 bit Windows or OS/2 Warp is for the SRVIFS/SRVATTCH
function ... SRVIFS/SRVATTCH was mandatory in the original installation
process, but is optional in the enhanced one ... the new AS/400 commands
can complete the entire process in some cases ... the exception is when you
have a requirement to actually connect to the Notes server data drive
(default is K:) to modify the NOTES.INI or manipulate (copy/delete/etc.)
databases directly on the AS/400 Notes server ... if you have that
requirement, then you'll either have to find a way to get SRVIFS/SRVATTCH
to work on an administrator's Windows or OS/2 client workstation or use FTP
as documented of the web site mentioned in my previous post ...

I'm certain that when you read the information IBM posted on their web site
related to the enhanced installation process, then you'll find an
acceptable solution ...
