>And the technical vs. non-technical session issue is very valid. However >there are several sessions, such as Barsa's system values, that in my >opinion, do not need to be printed. The stuff is somewhat static for a >period beyond the conference so why not make that one CD-ROM only. (Sorry >to pick on your session Al.) Please capitalize the S and V. If you don't have a handout for System Values, you're dead. The point of the talk is to: 1. Introduce the information (as located in the handout). 2. Provide an entertaining 89 minutes. 3. Demonstrate the capabilities of the AS/400, which you might not otherwise be aware of. There are many attendees of System Values that take copious notes. For them, eliminating the handout would be a big problem. There are many potential attendees who arrive, find that handouts are gone, and leave accordingly. The dependency on handouts is a part of my speaking style. If killing trees offends you, I'm sorry. If you feel that the session should be cancelled, please inform COMMON of such. If you don't like my speaking style, I'm sorry. Please complain to COMMON, and my sessions could be cancelled. Otherwise, don't bitch about System Values. I spend the entire weekend working on it, whereas I could have taken my kids to the beach.
