Hank:

I don't want to rewrite at all.  The application has been working for 3 years.
Because of an increase in business, some operations are slow.  I think the best
option (which BTW is the least amount of revenue for me), is to upgrade the 400.
Not to rewrite.  Anywhere.

Also, I do think that the AS/400 is the best platform for applications.  It may
not be the best development platform (SEU, PDM, etc.) but the system works.
