I think this was bad advice. While TCP/IP is the preferred method, it's not
necessary. The hanging PC is probably due to something else. We had the
same problem until it was fixed. Unfortunately I can't remember if it was a
Service Pack or a change in the configuration. We use Netsoft Router and
the file transfer is fine now.
