IMHO, you should be able to do the same with any ASCII to EBCDIC protocol converter no matter who makes it. Additionally the Perle controller has to be configured to accept ProComm. I think the controller has three options: Ptalk, Procomm, or Ptalk & procomm. Also it may be worthwhile to talk to Perle's tech people. They are great and they will configure/update your controller for you over the phone.
