I am not sure that Vern's response is correct ? The Lotus MTA (Message
Transport Agent) is a replacement for the standard SENDMAIL function. If
you have a LAN based connection to the ISP you should be able to install
the MTA on the NOTES IPCS, and configure a connection to the ISP's mail
gateway.
There are some inexpense ($700 range) ISDN based Modems/Routers/Hubs
in a single unit package that could be used as the connection to the ISP,
and support a "dial" connection.
If you want to connect to the ISP via the standard communications
features of the AS/400 (aka the ECS connection) then Vern is correct
there is no way that I am aware of to share the Line with the IPCS.
