Thought a few might find this interesting: A new IDC consultant report entitled "Speed to Deploy Differences Among Server Architectures" is now available. This report compares the AS/400 to PC-LAN based systems (largely NT Server) and Midrange-based systems (largely UNIX) across several Speed to Deploy metrics. The AS/400 won! "...AS/400 servers clearly led with higher customer satisfaction, faster time to market for deploying new applications, and considerably fewer man months of developers' time."
