I'm going to throw in a wrinkle here. Use FTP. Get WAR-FTPD (free and
excellent anyway) for the PC (Win 3.x & Win 95/NT versions available, I
think). Check out <http://www.tucows.com>.

Redirect input to the ftp command on the 400 with 'OVRDBF STDIN SOMEFILE'.
Specify a member in the OVRDBF that contains an FTP script. Part of the
script can be 'QUOTE RCMD commandstring'. QUOTE means execute the following
server subcommand, in this case, RCMD, which means execute the following
command string on the server.

This can all be done in batch, in a CL.
