Just a thought, but you could retreive the system level of the QSYS library
with the following:
RTVOBJD OBJ(QSYS) OBJTYPE(*LIB) SYSLVL(&variable)
&variable has to be type *CHAR with size of 9.
There may be a better object to use, but it works for me.
