It  is  likely the  best idea there is to go to an AS/400. 
Operational  costs are less
Support is there
So is your PTF  @ no charge
with many more benefits.
and  on it goes.
Plus you can  grow into the native 400  arena  and  take
 advantage of  some of the nce  new  things on the market. 
Few if any are  being developed for the older  and smaller
 marketplace the S36  lives in.
