I have done the following several years ago, 3 AS/400's in the same
room,
with 56KB modem eliminators using V.35 lines on each box, using most of
the stuff you mentioned, with pretty good results,,, they were D/25's
and
it all ran pretty  well unless you tried any REALLY large file
transfers,
which of course, killed the system that was sending or receiving......
using
DDM......

 I have always wanted to try Opti-Connect for the very same setup just
to
see it run.... Of course the price was NEVER right.....
