If you're having trouble (as I was) getting transactions in excel format
back on to the AS/400, you might want to take a look at utility I've posted
on my web site. It will format a tab delimited file (which excel can
create) as a positional flat file which can be FTP'd directly into a
matching AS/400 database file. The utility is named FLATULATE (which may
give you an idea of how much I appreciate the existing native support), and
the price is right (free).
