I've always felt W.C. Handy was right.  His first song was ripped off for
$5 or some such number.  The publisher grinned to himself and refused to
share the windfall of a Top-10 song, but never got another song from WC
Handy.  Other publishers did and became wealthy.   The Copyright is a nice
reminder but the value lies with the talent.
