Do you mean that, since the electronics are more reliable, when a pump
fails, it's the hardware that's failing, with little chance of recovery?

Is CHECKSUM still available for the lower-end machines?  We started using
CHECKSUM in our S/38 days, and I wouldn't want -any- machine without some
kind of redundancy!
