I have interfaced Dynax's A/R package on a few occasions with preexisting applications without ever physically duplicating data. Putting in this package in this manner is a non-trivial effort, but clearly much better than writing your own. The way I did the interface was to change Dynax's Customer PF into an LF over the existing customer PF, making the new LF look just like DYNAX's PF. There are other files where this may have to be done also. Then you have to decide how to combine the customer maintenance function. Depending on the complexity of your existing application, the seemless implementation effort should take about two person weeks. In one very complex installation where I did this, it took about nine person weeks. They are located in Long Island (sorry Steve, it's not as nice as your island) at 516-932-9080. I use this package unmodified for my own business. It's not very expensive. The firm is very reasonable about support and upgrades, although in this custom implementation environment, you may not be able to handle upgrades easily. Good package, nice company, yada yada yada.
