Hello Tim,

The message will be sent to the program message queue of the previous
program in the stack 
regardless of whether the job is batch or interactive.  In either case the
message is in the joblog.  
Check the message filtering of the batch job as specified by the LOG
attribute of the job 
description or SBMJOB command.  I am going to play with this tomorrow and
I'll let you know the 
outcome but I'd put money on it being filtered out.
