"Can we use prototyping in dynamic call also? (the CALL opcode)"
Yes - you just specify the program name with the EXTPROG keyword on the PR line
as follows:
D TaxCalc PR
ExtProg('PAY27C')
D Param1 9 2 Const
D Param2 1
C CallP TaxCalc( BaseAmt + Bonus : TaxCode )
This shows calling a program named PAY27C and passing two parameters; the first
one is a numeric value that the called program expects to be a 9,2 field.
Using the CONST keyword allows an expression or other numeric field (e.g.
Packed 7,2) to be passed as the parameter. The second parameter is a single
character - any attempt to pass it (say) a numeric value will be rejected by
the compiler.
