Of course we won't now ask WHY you are hardcoding 5/2/97 into your programs. -Walden -----Original Message----- From: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-midrange-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of boothm@ibm.net Sent: Sunday, April 05, 1998 12:42 AM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: Re: INZ('keyword') In <3526EB33.A245FDBA@fwi.com>, on 04/04/98 at 09:23 PM, Jeff Crosby <jlcrosby@fwi.com> said: >> 0005.00 hdatfmt(*mdy) >> 0008.00 d DateTest s d DATFMT(*ISO) >> 0009.00 d Inz('05-02-1997') >Use: Inz(D'1997-05-02') > = >Note the " D' " in the parentheses. Thanks for all of the response. Indeed it was the D that I was missing. In the end the code looked like this: 0005.00 hdatfmt(*mdy) 0008.00 d DateTest s d DATFMT(*ISO) 0009.00 d Inz(d'05/02/97') I not only had to use the D, but I had to put the date in the format and order specified on the H line. In the end I used parts of many answers to get the right one. But the D was the critical part. Jeff and Tim pointed that out. Thanks. -- ----------------------------------------------------------- boothm@ibm.net ----------------------------------------------------------- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
