With the new version of CA that allows for the naming of a workstation
(while using TCP/IP) , will I be able to disconnect the device. Currently the
device name is QPADEVxxxx, which suggest a passthrough device. I have the
system value (QINACTIVITY??) set to monitor for inactivity after 29 minutes.
Another system value is set to cause a message to be sent to a specific
message queue. A program runs in QCTL to monitor this message queue. The
message sent by the system includes the complete job name of the timed out
workstation. This monitor program checks to see if the user has any special
rights (E.G. *allobj, *iosyscfg etc), and if so disconnects the job. No can
do now with the funky workstation names.
