Chicago in particular just seems to be partial to midrange systems of any kind -- when I worked on another (now defunct) midrange in a former life, Chicago had almost a third as many of the boxes installed as the rest of the world _COMBINED_ (and Australia was a _HUGE_ market for it). Heck, I had three accounts there and was working out of a miniscule firm from an even smaller state at the time. Strange market...
