The only problems I have run into when trying this is when using Excel97.
I could not get it to save to a BIFF5 format in order to upload back to the
400.  When I used Excel95 everything worked great.  Download as a BIFF5
open Excel95 make your changes and upload.

Jim,
I had the same problem. In self defense, I wrote a PC utility that will
transform a tab delimited file (which excel can produce) to a positional
record that can be FTP'd to the AS/400. If you'd like a copy, it's free and
on my web site. The program name is FLATULATE. (Sort of gives you a flavor
for how much I appreciated this CA functionality.)
