Cary,

You can use the QMHLJOBL api to retrieve all of the messages in a joblog into a
user space, then read them out of the user space by message type.

 I've just completed the tech-edit for a program that uses this api to pull the
messages out of any jobs joblog (including just RQS messages..... as a matter of
fact that is the default), and display them on the screen.  The article is 
slated
to run in June so the code will be available then.  If you just can't wait until
then, send me a note and I'll see if I can get eh OK to release it to you early.
